Double Bacon Cheeseburger
Pan-seared lean beef patties topped with crispy center-cut bacon and melted cheddar, wrapped in crisp butter lettuce for a satisfying crunch.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Ground beef (93% lean)
1 slice Center-cut bacon
0.5 slice Sharp cheddar cheese
2 large Butter lettuce leaves
1 slice Tomato
1 slice Red onion
1 tbsp Yellow mustard
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0 tsp Avocado oil
PREPARATION
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into thin patties. Season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
Place the bacon slices in a cold skillet and turn the heat to medium. Cook until the bacon is crispy, then remove and drain on a paper towel.
Wipe the skillet clean and add the avocado oil. Increase heat to medium-high and sear the beef patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
During the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese slice on one patty and stack the second patty directly on top to help the cheese melt.
Lay out the butter lettuce leaves to act as your 'bun'. Place the double patty stack in the center.
Top the patties with the crispy bacon, tomato slice, and red onion.
Drizzle with yellow mustard, wrap the lettuce tightly around the fillings, and serve immediately.
