Kimchi Fried Rice with Fried Egg
Sautéed chicken and pungent kimchi tossed with brown rice and savory gochujang, topped with a crisp-edged fried egg for a satisfying kick.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Chicken breast
0.5 cup Cooked brown rice
0.5 cup Kimchi
1 large Egg
1 tsp Sesame oil
0.5 tbsp Gochujang
1 tbsp Tamari
1 clove Garlic
1 stalk Green onion
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Heat the sesame oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the diced chicken breast and sauté until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
Stir in the minced garlic and chopped kimchi, cooking for 2 minutes until the kimchi is slightly caramelized and fragrant.
Add the cooked brown rice, gochujang, and tamari to the skillet, breaking up any clumps of rice and stirring until everything is evenly coated and steaming hot.
Season the rice mixture with sea salt and black pepper, then transfer to a serving bowl.
In a separate small skillet, fry the egg to your preference, ideally leaving the yolk runny.
Place the fried egg on top of the rice and garnish with sliced green onions.
