Savory Ground Pork with Bell Peppers
Sautéed lean ground pork and vibrant bell peppers tossed in a fragrant ginger-garlic sauce for a sizzling, nutrient-dense meal.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Lean ground pork
1 medium Red bell pepper
0.5 medium Yellow onion
2 clove Garlic
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
0.5 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tbsp Green onions
PREPARATION
Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a large stainless steel or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the ground pork to the skillet, seasoning with sea salt and black pepper.
Brown the pork for 5-7 minutes, breaking it into small crumbles with a wooden spoon until fully cooked through.
Remove the cooked pork from the pan and set it aside on a plate, keeping the remaining juices in the skillet.
Add the sliced yellow onion and red bell pepper to the skillet, sautéing for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp and slightly charred.
Stir in the minced garlic and grated fresh ginger, cooking for 60 seconds until the aromatics are highly fragrant.
Return the browned pork to the skillet and pour in the coconut aminos and toasted sesame oil.
Toss all ingredients together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce coats everything evenly and the dish is piping hot.
Transfer to a bowl and garnish with freshly sliced green onions before serving.
