Double Bacon Cheeseburger Lettuce Wraps
Pan-seared lean beef patties layered with crispy center-cut bacon and melted sharp cheddar, wrapped in fresh butter lettuce for a satisfying crunch.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Ground beef (93% lean)
2 slice Center-cut bacon
1 slice Sharp cheddar cheese
2 large Butter lettuce leaves
1 slice Tomato
1 slice Red onion
2 slice Dill pickles
1 tbsp Yellow mustard
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Divide the ground beef into two 3-ounce portions and shape them into thin, even patties.
Season both sides of the beef patties with sea salt and black pepper.
Place the bacon slices in a cold cast-iron skillet and turn the heat to medium, cooking until crispy.
Remove the bacon and set aside on a paper towel, leaving a small amount of the rendered fat in the pan.
Increase the heat to medium-high and sear the beef patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
During the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese slice over one patty and stack the second patty on top to melt the cheese.
Lay the butter lettuce leaves flat and place the double patty stack in the center.
Top with the crispy bacon, tomato, red onion, pickles, and a drizzle of yellow mustard.
Fold the lettuce leaves around the burger and serve immediately.
