Pan-Seared Chicken Breast with Herbs
Tender chicken breast pan-seared with aromatic herbs and garlic, served alongside fluffy quinoa and vibrant steamed broccoli for a crisp and clean finish.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Chicken breast
1 tbsp Olive oil
0.5 cup Cooked quinoa
1 cup Broccoli florets
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Dried oregano
1 tsp Dried thyme
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Lemon juice
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry with a paper towel and season both sides evenly with sea salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried thyme.
Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Place the chicken in the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
While the chicken cooks, steam the broccoli florets for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp and bright green.
In the last minute of cooking the chicken, add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant, then drizzle with lemon juice.
Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for 3 minutes before slicing.
Serve the sliced chicken over the warm cooked quinoa with the steamed broccoli on the side.
