Balsamic-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Toasted Walnuts
Roasted chicken breast and charred Brussels sprouts tossed in a tangy balsamic reduction and topped with crunchy toasted walnuts.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Chicken breast
2 cups Brussels sprouts
0.5 oz Walnuts
2 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
Season the chicken breast with half of the sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
In a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with 2 teaspoons of olive oil and the remaining seasonings.
Place the chicken and sprouts on the baking sheet and roast for 20 to 25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
While roasting, place the walnuts in a small dry skillet over medium heat for 3 minutes until fragrant and lightly toasted.
Remove the tray from the oven, drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the hot sprouts, and toss to coat until glazed.
Slice the chicken and serve alongside the glazed sprouts, finishing the dish with the toasted walnuts.
