Pan-Seared Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Pan-seared salmon fillet served with tender roasted asparagus and a bright squeeze of lemon for a vibrant and flaky finish.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon fillet
1 cup Asparagus
0.5 tbsp Olive oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
0.5 whole Lemon
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and place the spears on the prepared baking sheet.
Drizzle the asparagus with half of the olive oil and season with a pinch of the sea salt and black pepper.
Roast the asparagus for 12 to 15 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
While the asparagus is roasting, season the salmon fillet with the garlic powder and the remaining sea salt and black pepper.
Heat the remaining olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon in the pan skin-side down and sear for 4 to 5 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes until the flesh is flaky.
Serve the salmon alongside the roasted asparagus with a fresh squeeze of lemon juice.
