Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Pan-seared salmon finished with a glossy tamari-ginger glaze and served alongside crisp-tender roasted asparagus for a vibrant, nutrient-dense meal.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz salmon fillet
1 bunch asparagus
1 tbsp tamari
1 tsp honey
1 tsp fresh ginger
1 clove garlic
1 tsp olive oil
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
0.5 tsp sesame seeds
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Wash the asparagus and snap off the woody ends, then spread the spears across the baking sheet.
Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper, tossing to coat evenly.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, grated fresh ginger, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki glaze.
Place the salmon fillet on the baking sheet next to the asparagus and brush half of the glaze generously over the top of the fish.
Roast in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the asparagus is tender and slightly charred.
Remove from the oven, brush the remaining glaze over the salmon, and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
