Miso-Glazed Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Oven-roasted salmon fillet brushed with a savory-sweet miso glaze, served alongside crisp-tender asparagus spears for a vibrant and nourishing meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Fillet
1 tbsp White Miso Paste
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Grated Fresh Ginger
1 clove Minced Garlic
1 tsp Rice Vinegar
1 bunch Asparagus
0 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.25 tsp Sea Salt
0.25 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, tamari, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and rice vinegar until the glaze is smooth.
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and spread the spears in a single layer on one side of the prepared baking sheet.
Drizzle the asparagus with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper, tossing until well coated.
Place the salmon fillet on the other side of the sheet and brush the top and sides generously with the prepared miso glaze.
Roast for 12 to 15 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender and slightly caramelized.
Garnish the salmon with toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately while hot.
