Sesame Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Sautéed flank steak and crisp broccoli florets tossed in a savory ginger-tamari glaze, served over fluffy brown rice for a satisfyingly nutty finish.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli florets
0.25 cup Cooked brown rice
0.25 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Honey
0.5 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain into bite-sized strips and season with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, grated ginger, minced garlic, and honey to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat the toasted sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove the beef and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the same skillet with a splash of water, cover, and steam for 3 minutes until tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and toss everything together for 1 minute until the glaze thickens.
Serve the beef and broccoli over the warm cooked brown rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
