Double Bacon Cheeseburger
Pan-seared lean beef patties topped with crispy bacon and melted cheddar, served in crisp butter lettuce leaves for a satisfyingly crunchy bite.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Ground beef (93% lean)
1 slice Uncured bacon
0.75 oz Sharp cheddar cheese
2 large Butter lettuce leaves
2 slices Tomato
2 slices Red onion
1 tbsp Yellow mustard
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form into thin patties, then season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon slice until crispy, then remove and set aside on a paper towel.
In the same skillet using the rendered fat, sear the beef patties for 3-4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
During the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese on one patty and stack the second patty on top to melt the cheese.
Lay out the butter lettuce leaves as your base and place the stacked patties in the center.
Top with the crispy bacon, tomato slices, red onion, and yellow mustard before wrapping the lettuce tightly around the burger.
