Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Herb Rice
Pan-seared top sirloin steak served over fluffy garlic-herb jasmine rice and crisp green beans for a savory and balanced dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top sirloin steak
0.5 cup Cooked jasmine rice
1 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp Grass-fed ghee
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh parsley
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.5 cup Green beans
PREPARATION
Pat the top sirloin steak dry with paper towels and season both sides evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer.
Place the steak in the skillet and sear for 3 to 4 minutes per side for a medium-rare finish.
In the final minute of searing, add the grass-fed ghee and minced garlic to the pan, using a spoon to baste the steak with the melted garlic butter.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
While the steak rests, steam the green beans until tender-crisp and toss the warm jasmine rice with chopped fresh parsley.
Plate the sliced steak over the garlic-herb rice and serve alongside the steamed green beans.
