Sesame Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Tender strips of grass-fed beef seared with crisp broccoli florets in a savory ginger-garlic sauce, finished with a nutty sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli florets
2 tsp Avocado oil
1 tbsp Coconut aminos
0.5 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain into bite-sized strips and season with sea salt and black pepper.
Mince the garlic and grate the fresh ginger, then whisk them together in a small bowl with the coconut aminos and toasted sesame oil.
Heat one teaspoon of avocado oil in a large cast-iron skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the broccoli florets and two tablespoons of water to the skillet, covering with a lid for 2 minutes to steam until bright green and tender-crisp.
Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside on a plate.
Wipe the skillet dry and add the remaining teaspoon of avocado oil, increasing the heat to high.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until deeply browned and caramelized.
Return the broccoli to the pan and pour the ginger-garlic sauce over the mixture, tossing constantly for 1 minute until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
Plate the stir-fry immediately and garnish with toasted sesame seeds for a crunchy finish.
