Spinach & Ricotta Stuffed Shells
Jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a savory blend of lean turkey, creamy ricotta, and wilted spinach, baked in a vibrant marinara sauce until bubbly and golden.
INGREDIENTS
2 large Jumbo pasta shells
4 ounce Ground turkey
0.13 cup Ricotta cheese
1 cup Fresh baby spinach
1 large Egg white
0.5 cup Marinara sauce
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
0.25 teaspoon Dried oregano
0.25 teaspoon Sea salt
0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the jumbo pasta shells in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside to cool slightly.
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until browned and crumbled, then drain any excess liquid.
Add the fresh baby spinach to the skillet with the turkey and sauté for 1-2 minutes until the leaves are completely wilted.
In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the cooked turkey and spinach, ricotta cheese, egg white, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Spread half of the marinara sauce across the bottom of a small oven-safe baking dish.
Stuff each cooked pasta shell with a generous amount of the turkey and ricotta mixture and arrange them in the baking dish.
Spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle evenly with the parmesan cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the shells are heated through.
