Teriyaki Glazed Salmon Bowl
Pan-seared salmon coated in a sticky honey-tamari glaze served over a bed of fluffy brown rice and vibrant steamed broccoli.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon fillet
0.25 cup Cooked brown rice
1 cup Broccoli florets
0.25 cup Shelled edamame
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Honey
0.5 tsp Toasted sesame oil
0.5 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Sesame seeds
PREPARATION
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
Season the salmon fillet on both sides with the sea salt and black pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the toasted sesame oil.
Place the salmon in the skillet skin-side up and sear for 4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Flip the salmon and pour the glaze into the pan, allowing it to bubble and thicken for 3 minutes while the salmon finishes cooking.
While the salmon cooks, steam the broccoli florets and shelled edamame until they are tender and bright green.
Assemble the bowl by placing the cooked brown rice at the bottom, then topping with the steamed vegetables and the glazed salmon fillet.
Drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan over the bowl and garnish with the sesame seeds before serving.
