Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks with Marinara
Soft Greek yogurt dough baked into golden breadsticks topped with bubbly mozzarella and savory garlic, served with a zesty marinara dipping sauce.
INGREDIENTS
0.66 cup Greek yogurt
0.66 cup All-purpose flour
1 tbsp Nutritional yeast
1 tsp Baking powder
0.25 tsp Sea salt
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Dried oregano
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1.5 oz Mozzarella cheese
0.25 cup Marinara sauce
1 tsp Fresh parsley
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, nutritional yeast, baking powder, sea salt, garlic powder, dried oregano, and black pepper.
Add the Greek yogurt to the dry mixture and stir with a spatula until a shaggy dough begins to form.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead by hand for about 2 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Roll the dough into a rectangle approximately 1/2-inch thick and use a pizza cutter to slice it into 8 even strips.
Place the strips onto the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of each breadstick.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the breadsticks have puffed up and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving warm with the marinara sauce for dipping.
