Garlic-Ginger Tofu Stir-Fry
Crispy pan-seared tofu and vibrant edamame tossed in a zesty garlic-ginger sauce, delivering a satisfying crunch in every bite.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Extra firm tofu
0.5 cup Shelled edamame
1 cup Broccoli florets
0.5 tsp Olive oil
0.5 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tbsp Fresh ginger
3 clove Garlic
2 stalk Green onions
1 tsp Hemp seeds
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
0.25 tsp Sea salt
PREPARATION
Wrap the extra firm tofu in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy skillet on top to press out excess moisture for 15 minutes.
Slice the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and lightly season with sea salt.
Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the tofu cubes until golden brown on all sides.
Add the broccoli florets and shelled edamame to the pan, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, grated fresh ginger, minced garlic, and toasted sesame oil.
Pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables, tossing constantly for 1 minute until everything is well-coated and fragrant.
Remove from heat and stir in the thinly sliced green onions and red pepper flakes.
Plate the stir-fry immediately and garnish with hemp seeds for added texture and plant-based protein.
