Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a small baking dish or rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, egg, almond flour, finely diced yellow onion, minced garlic, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
Mix the ingredients by hand until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat which can make it tough.
Form the mixture into a compact rectangular loaf shape and place it on the prepared baking dish.
Brush 1 tablespoon of the sugar-free BBQ sauce evenly over the top and sides of the meatloaf.
Lay the bacon slices over the top of the loaf, tucking the ends underneath the meat to secure them.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Brush the remaining 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce over the bacon and broil on high for 2-3 minutes until the bacon is golden and crispy.
Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing to ensure it stays juicy.
