Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Oven-roasted salmon fillets glazed in a savory-sweet ginger sauce, served with crisp-tender asparagus spears that have a delightful charred finish.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz salmon fillet
1 cup asparagus
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp coconut aminos
1 tsp honey
1 tsp fresh ginger
1 clove garlic
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sesame seeds
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the tough woody ends off the asparagus and toss the spears on the baking sheet with toasted sesame oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, honey, grated fresh ginger, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki glaze.
Place the salmon fillet on the baking sheet next to the asparagus and brush half of the prepared glaze over the top of the fish.
Roast for 12 to 15 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender.
Drizzle the remaining glaze over the cooked salmon and garnish the entire dish with sesame seeds before serving.
