Parmesan Garlic Pretzel Bites
Baked dough bites made with Greek yogurt and flour, tossed in a savory garlic-ghee glaze and finished with a generous dusting of salty parmesan.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup Non-fat Greek yogurt
0.25 cup All-purpose flour
1 tsp Baking powder
0.5 tsp Sea salt
0.5 oz Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Garlic powder
0 tbsp Ghee
1 large Egg white
0.25 tsp Coarse sea salt
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, flour, baking powder, and sea salt until a dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each into a long rope about 1 inch thick.
Cut the ropes into 1-inch bites and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the bites with the egg white and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the bites are puffed and golden brown.
While baking, whisk together the melted ghee and garlic powder in a small bowl.
Toss the warm bites in the garlic ghee and then roll them in the grated parmesan cheese until coated.
