Sesame Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Sautéed lean beef strips and crisp broccoli florets tossed in a savory sesame-ginger glaze for a vibrant and nutrient-dense meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz flank steak
2 cups broccoli florets
0.5 cup cooked brown rice
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp coconut aminos
1 tsp fresh ginger
1 clove garlic
1 tsp sesame seeds
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin, bite-sized strips and season with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add half of the toasted sesame oil.
Sear the beef strips for 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the remaining sesame oil to the pan along with the broccoli florets and two tablespoons of water to steam-sauté until tender-crisp.
Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return the beef to the pan and pour in the coconut aminos, tossing everything together until well-coated and glossy.
Serve the stir-fry over the warm brown rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
