Chicken Fried Rice Skillet
Sautéed chicken breast and fluffy brown rice tossed with crisp vegetables and savory tamari for a satisfying, protein-packed meal.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Chicken breast
0.5 cup Cooked brown rice
1 large Egg
0.25 cup Frozen peas
0.25 cup Diced carrots
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 clove Garlic
0.5 tsp Grated ginger
2 tbsp Sliced green onions
0.13 tsp Sea salt
0.13 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with half of the toasted sesame oil.
Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes, then remove and set aside.
Add the remaining sesame oil to the skillet along with the carrots and frozen peas, sautéing until the vegetables are tender.
Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet, crack the egg into the center, and scramble until fully set.
Add the cooked brown rice and the cooked chicken back into the skillet, drizzling the tamari over the mixture.
Toss all ingredients together for 2 minutes until the rice is slightly crispy and everything is heated through.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
