Sesame Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Thinly sliced flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are flash-seared in a savory ginger-garlic sauce for a vibrant, protein-packed meal with a nutty sesame finish.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Flank steak
2 cups Broccoli florets
0.5 tbsp Avocado oil
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 tsp Fresh ginger
2 cloves Garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tbsp Water
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into very thin strips and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Mince the garlic cloves and finely grate the fresh ginger.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes without moving them to develop a deep brown crust, then flip and cook for 1 more minute before removing the beef from the pan.
Add the broccoli florets and water to the same pan, covering with a lid for 2 minutes to steam the broccoli until it is bright green and tender-crisp.
Remove the lid and add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return the beef to the pan and pour in the coconut aminos and toasted sesame oil.
Toss all ingredients together for 1 minute until the sauce has thickened slightly and coated the beef and broccoli.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
