Char Siu Roasted Pork Tenderloin
Tender pork tenderloin roasted in a sticky, aromatic five-spice glaze and served with crisp bok choy for a vibrant, savory meal.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Pork tenderloin
2 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
0.5 tsp Chinese five spice powder
0.5 tsp Beet powder
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Fresh ginger
2 cup Baby bok choy
0.25 cup Cooked brown rice
0.13 tsp Sea salt
0.13 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
In a small bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, honey, toasted sesame oil, Chinese five spice powder, beet powder, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
Trim any excess silver skin from the pork tenderloin and season with sea salt and black pepper.
Place the pork in a shallow dish or resealable bag, pour the marinade over it, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the pork on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F, brushing with extra marinade halfway through.
While the pork rests for 5 minutes, steam the baby bok choy until the stalks are tender and the leaves are bright green.
Slice the pork into medallions and serve alongside the steamed bok choy and cooked brown rice.
