Pan-Seared Sirloin with Garlic Green Beans
Pan-seared sirloin steak seasoned with sea salt and cracked pepper, served with crisp-tender green beans sautéed in a fragrant garlic-infused ghee.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top sirloin steak
1.5 cups Green beans
1 tbsp Avocado oil
0.5 tbsp Ghee
2 cloves Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Lemon juice
PREPARATION
Pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat avocado oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Place the steak in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, then remove and let rest for 5 minutes.
While the steak rests, add the green beans to the same skillet with a splash of water, covering for 2 minutes to steam.
Uncover, add the ghee and minced garlic, and sauté for 3 minutes until the beans are crisp-tender and the garlic is golden.
Finish the beans with a squeeze of lemon juice and serve alongside the sliced steak.
