Sesame Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Sautéed flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are tossed in a savory sesame-ginger glaze for a vibrant and nourishing meal.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli florets
0.5 cup Cooked brown rice
0.5 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Fresh ginger
0.25 tsp Raw honey
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
1 tsp White sesame seeds
1 tbsp Water
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small glass bowl, whisk together the tamari, water, raw honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat the toasted sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned and caramelized, then remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets and a splash of water to the same pan, covering with a lid for 2 minutes to steam until tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the pan, pour in the prepared sauce and red pepper flakes, and toss for 1 minute until the glaze thickens and coats the ingredients.
Serve the stir-fry over the warm cooked brown rice and garnish with white sesame seeds.
