Double Bacon Cheeseburger
Pan-seared lean beef patties topped with crispy center-cut bacon and melted sharp cheddar, served on a toasted sprouted bun for a savory and satisfying bite.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz 93% Lean ground beef
1 slice Center-cut bacon
0.25 oz Sharp cheddar cheese
0.5 whole Sprouted grain bun
1 leaf Butter lettuce
1 slice Tomato
1 slice Red onion
1 tsp Yellow mustard
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0 tsp Avocado oil
PREPARATION
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form into thin patties. Season both sides of each patty with sea salt and black pepper.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the center-cut bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on a paper towel.
Wipe out excess grease from the skillet, add the avocado oil, and increase the heat to medium-high.
Place the beef patties in the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
During the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese on one patty and stack the second patty directly on top to help the cheese melt.
Lightly toast the sprouted grain bun in the same skillet or a toaster until the edges are golden brown.
Assemble the burger by spreading yellow mustard on the bottom bun, then layer the butter lettuce, tomato, red onion, the double patty stack, and the crispy bacon.
