Loaded Bacon Cheese Fries
Crispy air-fried potato wedges topped with savory seasoned ground turkey, melted sharp cheddar, and smoky bacon bits for a satisfyingly crunchy and protein-packed meal.
INGREDIENTS
100 g Russet potato
7 oz Ground turkey
1 slice Turkey bacon
0 oz Sharp cheddar cheese
2 tbsp Nonfat Greek yogurt
0 tsp Olive oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
0.25 tsp Smoked paprika
1 tbsp Green onions
PREPARATION
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Cut the Russet potato into thin wedges and toss them in a bowl with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
Place the potato wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 15-18 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crisp.
While the potatoes are cooking, heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground turkey.
Season the turkey with garlic powder and smoked paprika, breaking it up with a spatula until fully browned and cooked through.
In a separate small pan or the same air fryer, cook the turkey bacon until crisp, then finely chop it into bits.
Once the fries are done, pile the cooked ground turkey on top of the wedges and sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese and bacon bits.
Return the loaded fries to the air fryer for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with a dollop of Greek yogurt and thinly sliced green onions before serving.
