Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs
Slow-cooked chicken thighs glazed in a sticky honey-garlic sauce, served with vibrant steamed broccoli for a savory and satisfying finish.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp tamari
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic
1 cup broccoli florets
0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
PREPARATION
Season the chicken thighs on both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, tamari, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of the slow cooker and pour the honey-garlic sauce over them until evenly coated.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
During the last 10 minutes of cooking, steam the broccoli florets in a separate steamer basket until tender-crisp.
Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and drizzle with the remaining sauce from the pot.
Serve the chicken immediately alongside the steamed broccoli.
