Welcome to SUMMIT — the final phase of our strength-focused training series before we transition back into hypertrophy work. This phase represents the highest point of your progress, where all the work you’ve put in comes together.
In this phase, we are zeroing in on one of the most exciting and rewarding milestones in training: your 1 Rep Max (1RM).
Your 1 Rep Max is the maximum amount of weight you can lift for one full repetition with proper form. Training toward and testing your 1RM allows you to express the strength you’ve built, showing you just how powerful you’ve become over the past phases. It also gives us valuable data to better structure future programming, allowing for more precise loading in hypertrophy and performance-based training.
During SUMMIT, you’ll notice a shift in structure — working through low-rep, high-intensity sets, typically between 1–5 reps, as we build toward your heaviest lifts.
This style of training is designed to:
• Maximize motor unit recruitment, allowing your body to activate more muscle fibers at once
• Improve neurological efficiency, strengthening the connection between your brain and muscles
• Increase overall power and force production, so you can lift heavier with control and confidence
