Why did I create this program?
I remember after my first two babies searching high and low for resources and answers to help me navigate my postpartum season. I struggled with pelvic floor symptoms and was never informed by my OB that anything was wrong. I was told it was “normal”. But it wasn’t. So I took it upon myself and went through 3 different certifications in perinatal exercise to empower myself and now I'm so grateful to be sharing all of what I’ve learned! This knowledge gave me the confidence to move forward and advance in exercise effectively healing the body from the inside out!

TLDR: my body feels challenged as well as supported and that’s huge for someone on her 50s with longstanding imbalances and low back/hip pain who still wants to get and stay strong! Great workouts that both challenge as well as ensure good form. The workouts are long and more days a week than I have time for currently but I LOVE how they are divided into different body sections. I prefer this, even if it takes me longer than 4 weeks to get through the program I’m totally ok with that. I know I’m getting quality exercises that focus on more than “upper body” “lower body” formula workouts. It takes time and work to see results and this particular program (toned as a motha) promises to provide results. Even if you can only do 3-4 workouts a week instead of the 5.

GREAT programming! I’ve incorporated this into my daily lifting routine. I do this after lifting. I believe it has helped me with my lifts. It couldn’t have come at a better time! This week was my peak week and maxes for all my lifts. I’ve PRd all my lifts this week 🙌🏻 This is not a small thing to me. When you’ve been lifting for a long time PRs are far and few in between. I feel the strongest I’ve been with my programming and I am a firm believer that this program has helped improve my mobility and core strength. Also, I have been breathing wrong and developed an anterior pelvic tilt. As a result this has caused a nagging pain in my right lower back and hip. It’s been months of that pain and I’ve been going to the chiropractor with relief but then it would return the next day. Since starting this program my right hip and lower back are feeling much better ♥️ I’m beyond grateful for this program that has helped me be more aware of my posture and breathing.

Just finished this challenge and I can’t say enough good things about it. I had just gotten pregnant (first time) when I started and it was the best decision I could’ve made for myself. I always thought pregnancy meant I would kind of lose my body and just deal with dysfunction postpartum because that is “just part of having kids.” This program really challenged that mindset for me. It showed me that it does not have to be that way and that you can actually support your body well during this season. In just 6 weeks, my alignment, strength, and connection to my body completely changed. I feel so much more stable and confident moving through pregnancy. I also realized it is not just about lifting weights to look a certain way, but about training with purpose in a way that actually benefits you long term. I truly feel like I am setting myself up for a healthier pregnancy and postpartum. I already restarted the program and love how adjustable it is depending on what you need. There is so much helpful information throughout, and you can really tell how much Anna cares about helping women!

For context, I’m a mom of 4 with a 4-5 finger diastasis gap. Scary! 😱 I would currently label myself as “skinny fat”. I met my husband 11 years ago in the gym when we were both lifting weights — strong and toned. With each baby, I worked out less and less. I was tired of seeing myself in this weak form. In comes Anna “The Angel” McClellan, inspiring me to reclaim my strength and toned physique as a busy, homeschooling mom of 4. Now, in week 6, I can engage my core, I’m more aware of how my diaphragm and pelvic floor work as a unit, and I can manage pressure much better as I push weights. I love Anna’s program! I found her on Instagram and have been following her for a little while, and I wish I would have joined sooner! Her March Madness challenge is what I went to sign up for and then I went ahead with her Move Like A Motha Membership. So glad I did because of all the access I have to the other programs and challenges. I’ve been working out for years and I am just now learning how to connect to my core the right way, recognizing if I feel unwanted pressure in my pelvic floor, and organizing my breathing with each move/rep. I was using another workout app (also by a woman) and was never taught any of this!! Anna breaks everything down so well and the videos she provides are extremely helpful and informative. I don’t have kids yet, but I’m so happy she created a program to help women pre, trying, during, and post babies!
