Welcome to Muscle Burns Fat! This 6 week program uses dumbbells only, making it ideal for home or the gym. 

There’s three full body workouts each week, combining compound and isolation exercises to maximize strength gains, muscle growth, and fat burning.

Between working, mom-ing and life-ing, I wouldn’t have time if it took longer than 45 minutes so I’ve used my skills as a certified Personal Trainer and knowledge as an exercise science nerd, to design the BEST GYM PROGRAM busy people can do at home!

Each circuit (combo set) includes four exercises and there’s two circuits in each workout. Move one exercise to the next in each circuit, pausing just long enough to catch your breath and feel ready to move on. Yes, you’ll still build muscle at this pace because the shoulders get a break during your 30 second rest AND while training the back, legs and biceps, for example.

This method of training reduces total workout time and removes the boredom some people experience with traditional straight sets.

Before you start, I want to answer the two most common questions I get about this program:

1. Why just two leg exercises per workout?
Completing all three full body workouts each week provides 18 working sets for legs (24 if following advanced). Exercise science shows that 10-20 sets per week are required for muscle growth. 

2. Three, 45 minute sessions - are you sure it’s enough?
If you feel like you can do MORE, it suggests to me that you need to increase your dumbbell weight. If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you!

Hands down the BEST trainer I have ever had. The challenges are challenging and because they are challenging they WORK!! You put in the work and you will absolutely see results! This is my 5th challenge with Cee. I’m not one to ever stick to a workout routine because I get bored easily and I tend to plateau easily. This is absolutely not the case with these challenges. A small tweak here and sometimes that’s all it takes.

I loved Cheryl on YouTube, so it felt natural to take this program because I needed a structure to follow. I love that I felt challenged, guided, and cheered along the way. I had to repeat a couple of sessions and I am fine with that. It was my choice. I am definitely stronger and making strides to learning new neuromuscular patterms. I am excited to finish this one and start a new program after I deload. I'm willing to follow the program the way it is intended. I know I don't need to be in a hurry and I am not in competition with anyone other than my own goals. I love the community. I can always follow the programs on YouTube if I want, and I will. I do like this way of measuring my progress though. When I get to one year of training, I know my body will be better conditioned than it has ever been in my life. I turn 60 on December 21st and I am so proud of all of us women for doing this! It doesn't matter your age. What matters is remembering your personal potential. It's the best feeling. Also, I can attest to the mental health benefits that I get from working out like this. Honestly, cardio might have a runners type "high", but lifting is completely different. It changes your brain. I feel very differently when I lift. It's scientifically factual that exercise helps with depression and anxiety, but I know from my own experience that this kind of exercise has shown me a difference in how I feel from a brain chemistry perspective. Yes, I do feel proud of myself, but it's not that. I don't have a perfect body or even close. (Hint: I never will) because I am older and I won't be able to have a body like Cheryl's unless I get surgery. But, perhaps it's about loving myself enough to do this work, because I care about myself and it is an act of love and self devotion. Maybe it's time to allow yourself to just be who you are. Especially for those of us who have lost weight and have some loose skin. I am a work in progress, and I am excited to see where I will be in a years time. Little by little my body is changing, getting stronger and more bad ass! LOL We are all Wonder Women! Because we are here doing the work! Cheers!

I loved the sets, I loved how detailed the workouts were and the importance of proper form first, then work on adding weights for Progressive Overload goals. As I am in deload mode and go back to my earlier sets, I almost laugh at how light the weights were when I started. I’m so excited to do the next challenge. This is an incredible leader with an amazing community. She knows how to guide us with the best workouts for compounding effect. Excellent program just signed up for the new one. The community is so friendly and Cheryl provides a lot of useful information about nutrition and basically everything. This was the first time that I actually finished a workout program. It made me more accountable because the only person I could blame was myself. She showed up daily whether it was sharing multiple posts of information and leading us through, or even taking the time to comment on MANY comments in her community. She's a phenomenal leader!! I know results can take time and have realistic expectations. You can't undo decades of bad habits in just six weeks.
