Welcome to Muscle Burns Fat! This 6 week program uses dumbbells only, making it ideal for home or the gym. 

There’s three full body workouts each week, combining compound and isolation exercises to maximize strength gains, muscle growth, and fat burning.

Between working, mom-ing and life-ing, I wouldn’t have time if it took longer than 45 minutes so I’ve used my skills as a certified Personal Trainer and knowledge as an exercise science nerd, to design the BEST GYM PROGRAM busy people can do at home!

Each circuit (combo set) includes four exercises and there’s two circuits in each workout. Move one exercise to the next in each circuit, pausing just long enough to catch your breath and feel ready to move on. Yes, you’ll still build muscle at this pace because the shoulders get a break during your 30 second rest AND while training the back, legs and biceps, for example.

This method of training reduces total workout time and removes the boredom some people experience with traditional straight sets.

Before you start, I want to answer the two most common questions I get about this program:

1. Why just two leg exercises per workout?
Completing all three full body workouts each week provides 18 working sets for legs (24 if following advanced). Exercise science shows that 10-20 sets per week are required for muscle growth. 

2. Three, 45 minute sessions - are you sure it’s enough?
If you feel like you can do MORE, it suggests to me that you need to increase your dumbbell weight. If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you!

We may be working out at home but we’re not alone, we’re doing this together! See you in the workout.

This program has changed my look on being fit. I have always preferred strong over skinny but would go back and forth on how to find a balance. However, I didn’t realize how much I could actually lift in some exercises without getting hurt. I just got stronger and more confident and stable in my lifting. Cheryl has changed my life. Truly. I was overweight, sedentary, and had zero idea how to structure my diet except for the typical 90’s style of “the less calories the better. I’ve learned more in this 6-week program than I have with a personal trainer in the past (who taught me nothing, just handed me the plan). Cheryl truly does want us to succeed! Probably the most effective work out I've done in my fifties. I'd always lifted weights,but stayed in a safe range and probably didn't push myself as much as I could. I love the format and the accountability of Cheryl's app. I'm lifting so much more than I thought I ever could and I'm not scared of the weights anymore. This is my first challenge with Cheryl and it’s only the beginning. I’ve never enjoyed working out so much. I’m so looking forward to continuing this journey I am on to build muscle and strength; feel good in myself. I’ve never felt better in my own skin. I also cut out alcohol last October and that has definitely helped. If I had realised ages ago that I could eat an abundance of delicious food and still be fit and healthy, I would have done it. As a person who has always been relatively fit, but never really in to ‘exercise’ I have tried various things to tone up over the years. Strength training is something that I’ve known is beneficial for a while & with a family history of osteoporosis & being in my early 40s it felt like a now or never type thing… I found Cee on YouTube & she’s a breath of fresh air compared to the hyped up gym bunnies that usually lead these programs.
