Build to Burn Blueprint is my third challenge with Cheryl…I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!! I’m 59 years old and was noticing declines in my strength and balance. Since participating in Cheryl’s challenges, I’ve lost 35 pounds and am so happy with the muscle definition and functional strength I’ve gained. Cheryl provides excellent instruction throughout the program…on how to perform the exercises, how progressive overload works, nutrition, and how to pull it all together. Best of all, it’s a realistic program…3 lifts per week. Very challenging lifts, but they get results! The community is fantastic and very supportive. Unfortunately, I could only complete one (1) day of the training. I injured my hand/wrist/arm and am wearing a brace. It is frustrating because I spent good money on the program, which I'm sure is amazing!! Cheryl is a powerhouse!

Cheryl provides guidance that makes it easy to understand why we are doing everything we do in her programs. The programs themselves are uncomplicated, efficient and very easy to fit into busy lives. I have never stuck with any program as long as I've followed Cheryl's programs ..this is #6 or 7 for me (I've lost count) and I plan to continue for as long as she makes them available. I've never been stronger in my life which is quite an achievement for a 60 yr old. I want to be strong and fit so I can live, explore and enjoy life. I had been doing Cheryl's excellent free dumbell workouts from her YouTube channel for a while and was hesitant about paying for content that I thought I could get for free. However, I am finding that the process of following these workouts in the SOLIN app significantly different: 1 being able to keep track of my weight really makes a difference in my diligence and trying to push myself a harder than I would have without them. 2. It's fun to record what I've lifted and get a little hit of pride when I see i've lifted the equivalent of a plane (or five elephants, or whatever it is). I'm surprised it's so much fun. 3. The cues Cheryle gives in recorded video are EXTREMELY helpful. I refer to them often, even though I think i know what I'm doing. I always learn something that keeps me on track and safe. The exercises are very basic - by which I mean, they are excellent in terms of learning them and doing them well and effectively. This makes it much more likely to do them repeatedly and safely. 4. I like the community. I'm very competitive - with myself. Seeing what other people have lifted makes me see that it's possible, and it makes me, again, push a little harder. 4. Many people in the community have the same questions as I do, or have questions that I didn't even know to ask. This is very valuable knowledge. I think this app and Cheryl's content is excellent value. (BTW, I'm 66 in a few weeks and am lifting significant amounts of weight. Not as much as I did when i was 50, but compared to my cohort, I'm super strong. Shoveling heavy wet snow is not a problem.)

I have been doing Cheryl’s workouts for a couple of years, and I find her routines much easier to build habits around and stick with than doing it on my own, or with other workout apps. I love using dumbbells only, at home (fewer obstacles to showing up when you don’t need to go to the gym) and I definitely have been building muscle. I am 68, feel like I’m 48; I have osteoporosis (weight bearing exercise is so important to keep from losing bone density) and continuing to BUILD muscle, increasing my weights, and feeling pleased with feeling stronger and stronger, and looking good. If I get distracted by life, once you start building muscle it’s relatively easy to get back to work; it doesn’t atrophy as much as you think! So just get back to it. I really like the 6 week programs and this is my third one. Slob is a good platform - it allows me to track my progress with an intuitive interface. I highly recommend Cheryl’s programs.

I am absolutely loving the workouts with Cheryl! I always struggled to build workouts of my own never knowing if I was really doing work that would get me to my goals of getting stronger and healthier. This takes all the guesswork out. I also love how sustainable it is to fit into a workweek schedule, having the 3 weight days and active days on the other. It’s easy to have flexibility to fit into my busy schedule. I’m enjoying the program but this time around (my 3rd challenge) I’ve found the forum a bit too focussed on fat loss and getting thin. I signed up to the 1st challenge because it was about getting strong as an older woman but this time the older larger woman seem to have disappeared and I find it intimidating and it makes me feel as if my slower progress is somehow not good enough.
