Lift’n Burn, a 6 week program to build muscle for fat loss and strength gains!

I’ve written your six-week blueprint to:

  • Shed excess body fat and achieve a leaner physique. Improve body composition and feel confident in your swimsuit this summer!

Three, full body workouts are included and depending on your rest time, will take roughly 45 minutes to complete. Each workout is repeated three times during the week for a total of two weeks before moving on. Your body becomes more efficient at performing each exercise when you repeat the same lifts. This allows you to complete more repetitions and lift more weight over time. It’s the principle of progressive overload and is required to build muscle and increase strength! 

Exercise demonstrations with verbal cues from me are provided in this go on your own format. Workouts are not follow along and you should have experience lifting weights before starting, this is NOT a beginner program.

I am 53 years young, worked out for most of my life (until I didn’t ) . Decided to choose my hard 1. Wake up everyday , tired ,clothes not fitting and doing nothing about it or 2. I’m so happy I found Cheryl on YouTube then Instagram. I joined my first challenge The Compound Effect and it’s truly been life changing. In just 5 weeks I have lost a total of 5 pounds and I can see the definition in my arms and legs. I’ve always been active, working out 5 days a week but following this program has been a game changer. The full body workouts 3 days a week has given me more results than working out 5 days. This is the only program I’ve ever stayed consistent with. I started with the YT 20 minute workouts after covid and from there built confidence form and consistency/habit, and then got hooked. These challenges however were the game changer. They help you get to ‘progressive overload’ in a self paced but very supportive safe space to do you and do just 1% better than last time! Cheryl’s approach and real-ness makes everything feel doable no matter how busy your schedule the workouts are challenging enough yet chill so you don’t feel that pressure to perform and the women on the group are amazing we feel we’re all in the same boat and genuinely push each other through ups and downs of those tough ‘lunges’ and life! I’ll be honest — I was a little skeptical at first. Three full-body days a week? Only three workouts? I had never really trained like that before, and I wasn’t sure it would deliver results. But after following Cheryl for a while and seeing the incredible transformations other women were having, I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. Coming off a long-term injury, I knew I needed something that allowed for rest and recovery while still challenging me. Things I love about The Compound Effect: 1) IT WORKS. I went from a wary skeptic with consistency and motivation issues to a die hard fan who will never look back. 2) The community!! I love the six week format that is divided up into three two week segments. Do the same exercises six times and then you move on to the next. This really helped me focus on form and really just completing the set. I get so bogged down with, "what am I going to do today? And how many do I need to do with this and I haven't done that in a while." This is a great road map for working the entire body. I have been sore this entire time. LOL. The second best thing about this is the community!! Cheryl comes in with her encouragement, optimism, wisdom, tips Etc. And everyone else that's in this challenge comments and lifts you up and keeps you going even if you don't feel like it. I absolutely love this and cannot say enough good things about it. ❤️

Lift’n Burn

Because it’s only heavy lifting 3x per week, I’m able to give it my all on weight lifting days. I’ve done 4 lifting sessions so far and I can see my little muscles poking through. I’m 5’5” and about 137 pounds. I decided to do this program because I appreciate CeCe’s story and because I haven’t had success on my own. I’ve officially entered into post menopause and with my hormones crashing for the past few years, it’s been unusually difficult to keep my muscle tone. So far this seems to do the trick. On off days I do a fat burning cardio and the vibration plates to stimulate osteoblasts. Fat burning cardio is rather easy on the stair stepper.

This my fourth challenge with Cheryl and I can honestly say I've NEVER been stronger in my life and I'll be turning 60 this month! I've never stuck with anything for this long. I actually look forward to the workouts. Although there are days when I drag myself to get started, I am always so glad when I am done. I have not missed a single workout in almost 7 months. I can rearrange workouts and rest days to accomodate life-ing so that I can make this commitment to my health. These are very well structured exercise programs. Cheryl offers frequent support and solid science backed advice for gaining strength and helping with body recomposition. The community here is also very active, supportive and kind. If you're tired of not seeing results from following random workouts and are confused about nutrition, don't hesitate to sign up with lift with Cee! There are a few warm-up videos on Cheryl's YouTube channel, but I'd be cool if warm-up videos could be integrated into the app.
