EQUIPMENT

To get the best possible results from The Plan, we highly recommend having access to a full gym or a well-equipped home gym. This program was designed to closely mirror how we personally train when looking to build lean muscle and reduce body fat so it includes exercises that require:

✔️ Smith machine or squat rack

✔️ Cable machine

✔️ Leg extension machine

✔️ Hip abduction machine or cables

✔️ Dumbbells and resistance bands

✔️ Barbell and plates

If you’re training from home, we have included a modified version of the program using:

You’ll still get results with the home version - but to be transparent, some exercises (especially on back days) simply can’t be replicated without machines. I didn’t think I’d like this program but I thought I’d give it a try. The reason why I didn’t think I’d like it is because I didn’t have Joel or any super trainer telling me exactly everything I’m supposed to be doing correctly. But I love the videos and I have them going while I’m doing my workout. I started this program off feeling very stuck and in a bad place physically and mentally. I had fallen off track for a few months, eating without thought and not getting nearly enough movement in everyday. As a mom of four, I had always found a way to workout at home but even the thought of doing that wasn’t appealing. I decided to totally leave my comfort zone and signup at my local gym for the first time ever. I started this program completely unsure of how to use the majority of the equipment but I gave it my ALL. Being able to watch Megan and Joel’s videos helped me so much with getting my form perfect. I now love the gym. Going 5 days a week has changed my body so much and even more my mental state. I feel like myself again. I didn’t weigh myself this entire program, I focused on how my clothes fit and obvious changes in the mirror. Now all of my favorite clothes fit wonderfully again and I can see muscles in places I’ve never grown before. This was so easy to understand for anyone, so detailed and soo awesome. I fell in love with lifting doing Lift 4, and then Lift more with Joel in 2021! I had just lost 60 pounds but my body had no definition. I was unaware at the time really anything about health and fitness. I didn't realize I was actually under eating in my deficit, and overdoing cardio! Once I started lifting consistently with Joel and his programs I fell in love with the process of muscle growth, and fueling my body with the correct nutrients. I have since then lost 80 pounds, gained muscle and definition, and am now working for a Gym as a certified PT & Group Fitness instructor!
